No More Rentals
We have decided, at least temporarily, to discontinue rentals. This wasn’t an easy decision. We’ve rented snowmobiles for the last 8 years and have built up a group of customers and friends that we are reluctant to disappoint.
Why stop? Lawyers. We thought common sense and a liability clause in our contract would ensure that renters assume responsibility for dumb things they do and accidents out on the trails. A recent lawsuit has taught us that we were wrong in that assumption, and that common sense has no place in a courtroom. This makes it too dangerous for us to continue in this business and face additional future lawsuits.
To our previous and potential future customers and friends: We are truly sorry that we’ve had to stop renting. We will still be here with our motel, and cabins. We’ll likely be out on the trails more (now we can ride our own snowmobiles again), so we’ll still be doing trail reports.
Ride Right From Your Room
We are located in Grayling, Michigan, at the Woodland Motor Lodge. Our snowmobiles can be ridden directly from our location. Grayling is located on I-75 / Highway 27, an easy drive of around 3 hours from southern Michigan. We are within about 1 hour of the Mackinac Bridge and Traverse City. There are several hundred miles of snowmobile trails in the county connecting to many more trails in surrounding counties. The local trails are groomed, labeled, and well mapped. Please browse through the different sections of our site to learn about the snowmobiles and equipment we offer, our rental terms and rates. We ride the trails frequently and keep an up-to-date and realistic log of trail reports here on our website.
