So, for the past few days things have looked pretty positive.  There’s a pretty thin base but traffic has been light.  Trails were dirty and snirty on Saturday but it’s snowed a little bit every day since.  Snow is in the forecast pretty much every day for the next week.

on the trails today. The snow cover does seem thin, although there’s 8 inches on the ground or so. The snow is a bit loose, since it’s been cold. Out on Lewiston Grade Road (the start of the Grayling-Lovells trail) I heard the occasional chatter of skis hitting the gravel.

A few inches more

Well, at least the ground is all covered more.  We got about two inches of snow Sunday night, with more predicted through the day today.  With the ground finally frozen, hopefully a base of snow will begin to develop through this week.
