Continued Good Snowmobiling in Grayling
There was a fair amount of traffic this weekend; we’ve actually been pretty busy non-stop for the past week or so. All our riders and guests have had good reports of the trails and conditions. There were some rough trails again on Saturday, but that’s to be expected with the fairly high traffic. I drove through Frederic a few times yesterday, and saw at least 100 snowmobiles parked at the restaurants and the gas station.
One of our guests didn’t have such a great weekend, as he hit a pedestrian Friday night. Apparently the guy was walking at night, in dark clothes, in the middle of a rural road, wearing headphones. So he wasn’t in the safest position. Still, don’t outrun your headlights or assume the trail is clear! By the way, speed limits for snowmobiles on our county road right-of-ways is 35 mph (Crawford County Regulation).
Be careful out there!
