First Big Storm of the Season
It’s been quite a snowstorm in the Grayling area since Tuesday night. We had about 6 inches or so early this morning. It’s a bit hard to tell because of all the wind. Saw and heard plenty of thunder and lightning this morning also, it seems like a wet, heavy snow today. The weather forecast calls for snow straight through until Friday, so we may well have enough to start the season soon.
We’ll update more as this storm progresses and we have a better picture of what it looks like out there.
OK, off to plow the drive and get snow tires for the car…
UPDATE: Rumor has it that all three Grayling snowmobile groomers are running today, to pack down the snow on the trails. I wouldn’t head out there just yet, but things are looking up!

Well, Doug, don’t drive your Corvette up here! I got stuck this morning, and so did plenty of other drivers, including snowplows.

That’s funny Rob. I don’t think 640 hp and Drag Radials would do to good on snow/ice. As soon as my back is 100% and I can get up there midweek I’ll be visiting. Can’t wait to run those trails with the new Polaris 550’s you guys have. The A/C 440’s were nice, but not enough power. See you soon, and btw I’ll be up this spring/summer are you game for a ride in the vette ? She runs 10’s at over 130 in the 1/4 !!!!!
For eveyone reading these updates, Woodland is a great place to rent a sled and Rob and Diane are very nice people to deal with as well. Rob even went sledding with me in the UP a few years back for a very small fee. Had the time of my life. I asked him to go so in case I had a break down or got lost I had a knowledgable person with me to assist. Thanks again Rob

Thanks Doug. We have a few newer machines we’re testing out this winter. No details yet, since we’re still doing break-in miles, but they’re pretty nice machines.
Details real soon, I think they’ll be ready to rent this week!
