A little snirty, need a bit more snow in Grayling
A week has passed since New Year’s Day, but we’ve only seen an inch or so of total snow in that time. We would certainly like some fresh snow on the trails, as what is there is getting a little brown with sand/dirt mixed in (snirt).
All the guests we’ve had this week have reported fair to good conditions. Generally the reports are of smooth trails, but a little dirty, and occasional spots of dirt and maybe ice.
We would like more snow, but there isn’t any in the forecast for the next week. We still have our rental snowmobiles going out, but we may be replacing some slide rails next week.
I’ve been playing around with a new Flip video camera, intended to be an easy way to get videos up on Youtube for the Grayling Visitors Bureau. First attempt at a video from last Sunday is up on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0Mt7_KS3Z0. We also uploaded a few photos from last Friday and Saturday, in our Photo Album on this site. The photos make things look pretty nice. Indeed, off-trail conditions look pretty much perfect, it’s just a little snirt on the trails.

Is there any other camcorder out there like the Flip? I’ve had too many issues with my Flip’s but I like their size.
