Our Snowmobiles

All our snowmobiles are late-model, and in very good condition. We keep our snowmobiles clean and well-maintained, and ask that you treat them with respect.

For 2009 / 2010 our fleet will be Polaris Supersport single-rider machines, and a few Yamaha Phazer single-rider sleds.
2005/2006 Polaris Supersports

The Yamaha Phazer is new for us this year. It’s a four-stroke engine, with much improved fuel economy. The riding position is different than traditional snowmobiles, with the rider sitting up higher and farther forward. We find the riding position much better for handling bumps on the trails, as it’s easier to stand up. The snowmobile also has more suspension travel than the Supersports. The main handling caution we have with these involves cornering. With the higher center of gravity, the machine is more likely to tip in the corners, or at least lift up the inside ski. So it’s necessary to shift your weight to the inside of the corner. We’ll demonstrate this when we show you around the machine at the time of rental.

Yes, we have heard that the snowmobile is seven different kinds of ugly. It’s certainly different than most other machines out there. We think you’ll forget about all that when you actually get on the machine and ride it, as it rides so much better.

Here’s one of our Phazers, out on the trails in December 2009:
