The Big January Melt
The January Melt is turning into a pattern around here. Beautiful, deep snow in December gives way to grass, mud, and thawed ground in January. We’ve had 3 days of heavy rains and temperatures as high as 52 degrees. It’s amazing that there is still any snow on the ground. All of the trails are down to mud, so we’re waiting to start this whole Winter Thing all over again.
Temperatures are finally forecast to stay below freezing after Thursday, so we’ll look forward to snow after that….
